Gently tell your child not to scratch even if he or she has the urge to. One way to discourage them from scratching is giving them gloves to wear, and clothing should be long sleeved especially when sleeping. This way, it will prevent your child from scratching their skin mindlessly.

–    You can prepare one cup of oatmeal for your child or 1/3 cup for infants. Grind the oatmeal flakes into smaller pieces by using a blender or food processor. Place the ground oats in a muslin sheet or and unused pantyhose.
